Service - Point Glue-in - EPOXY - 12 qty

If you purchase target arrows and points from our store, you can can opt to have the points installed with high-quality, AAE 24hr cure epoxy adhesive.

We do a first-rate job and don't cut any corners.

Here's what's involved:

Step 1
The inside of the carbon shaft is thoroughly cleaned, using a cotton-tipped swap dipped in pure Isopropyl Alcohol.
No carbon dust remains inside of the shaft to a depth of about 2 inches.

We do not use methylated spirits, mineral turpentine, brake cleaner, rubbing alcohol or shellite to clean shafts or components.

Step 2
The glue-in point is cleaned with pure Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any traces of factory residue.
The shaft and point are then allowed to dry thoroughly before proceeding.

Step 3
The Two-Part Epoxy is mixed thoroughly on a clean disposable tray and let it sit for a few minutes. There is then about 40 minutes work time before the AAE Epoxy will start to harden significantly.

Step 4
Adhesive is applied to the point and also a little on the inside wall of the shaft.
The point is pushed into shaft while slowly rotating it about one full turn.

Step 5
Using a clean cloth and a sparing amount of Isopropyl Alcohol, the excess glue is immediately wiped from the shaft and anywhere else glue should not be.

Step 6
The arrow shaft is then stood vertically ‘point down’ until adhesive has set.
Shafts do not lay down while the adhesive is curing.
We allow at least 18 hours for adhesive to cure before the finished shafts are dispatched.
