Shipping & Delivery

Fair prices, reasonable delivery costs, excellent customer service.

We aim to pack and post your order within two business days. However, once payment is received, we usually only take one business day to get your order packed and on its way to you.

The delivery options we offer are:
  • Collect from Store

This is a free service for local customers who wish to 'Click and Collect' from our store, and for customers who wish to arrange their own pickup. Please check our current store hours available on our Contact Us page.

  • Australia Post Standard parcel
  • Australia Post Express parcel
  • Fastway satchels (to locations covered by their Australian national network, except NT and WA)
  • New Zealand via Australia Post International Standard
  • New Zealand via Australia Post International Standard with signature
  • New Zealand via Australia Post International Express
    (satchels up to 2kg or box <5kg)

    All the above methods provide tracking information. All services except International Standard include signature on delivery.

    Please note the shipping cost to New Zealand does not include GST. 

    With some services you may be able to give ‘Authority To Leave’, which authorises the carrier to leave your parcel in a safe location. An 'Authority To Leave' check box is available for you to select in your shopping cart.

    If you are able to arrange delivery at lower cost than we can offer, we’re very happy for you to arrange your own courier. If so, choose the ‘Collect from Store’ shipping method in Checkout. Our main aim is to get your order to you safely.

    Our delivery charges
    • are independent of our product pricing
    • are transparent, fair and reasonable
    • include careful packaging and handling
    • include secure delivery to our customers
    • are automatically calculated with current rates provided by our carriers.

    From time to time we may revise our delivery charges as our carrier charges vary. Any cost savings we are able to achieve on delivery charges are passed on to our customers.

    Our charges are structured as basic contract charges across four zones.

    Note: pricing schedule subject to revision. Due to rises in fuel levies and freight costs, from June 2020 the above prices will have additional charges: 50 cents added to standard services, 80 cents added to express services and $3.00 added to New Zealand services.

    Costs vary according to the total weight of the order and the delivery location. Heavier parcels travelling further will cost more; additional cost again for Express.

    Standard delivery by Australia Post to Australian destinations for a 3kg parcel ranges from $12.25 (East Maitland to Sydney NSW) to $25.90 (East Maitland to WA country - north).

    No handling charge

    Our delivery charges do not include a handling charge towards the cost of the box, envelope or satchel, packing material such as protective fill, bubble wrap, craft paper, cardboard and sticky tape, and the time it takes to pack and prepare your parcel. When packing customer orders we often recycle and re-use packaging materials from deliveries we receive from our suppliers that would otherwise be discarded after only one use. The packaging your order arrives in might not be pretty, but it will be well padded and secure.

    Note about satchels - we encourage you to drop your used Australia Post and Fastway plastic satchels into the REDcycle soft plastic recycling bins at Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.

    We have chosen not to offer free postage.

    Many online retailers are offering free postage to all customers Australia-wide. However, we choose not to raise the retail prices on our products to cover the cost of providing free postage. Therefore our customers buying online or walking into our store will pay the same price for the same item.

    It is difficult to sustain a fixed delivery rate across all of Australia without over-charging some areas and under-charging others. In our favour, East Maitland is located on and close to several major highways – a location well-placed from which to send a parcel to anywhere in Australia.

    Delivery time will depend on where you are in relation to East Maitland, NSW.

    See below for estimated delivery times in business days via standard shipping after your order is packed and sent. This is a rough guide only. It is a combination of information from Australia Post and Fastway.

    How to view and choose shipping options on this website

    We have a Shipping Calculator available in Your Cart. For a shipping estimate, simply add items to your shopping cart. Look below the subtotal and click on ‘Calculate Shipping’. Enter your country, state and postcode. You don't need to log in or register to use the Shipping Calculator. Available shipping rates will appear when you click again on ‘Calculate Shipping’.

    Unfortunately, any available Fastway options will not appear until you click on Checkout. Don’t worry, you are not obligated to complete a purchase in Checkout. If all details are correct, click to select your preferred shipping method. View or apply any discounts applicable to your order, and click ‘Continue to payment’ to proceed to the next step.

    In ‘Payment’ you can edit any details needed for shipping, including your delivery address, shipping method or contact details.


    Australia Post

    The three methods of delivery by Australia Post are as follows:

    1. Regular parcel delivery with a tracking number and Signature on Delivery

    The Australia Post standard parcel service covers all of Australia.

    2. Express parcel delivery with a tracking number and Signature on Delivery

    Guaranteed next business day delivery within the Express Post delivery network, which operates between all capital cities (except Darwin and in Perth CBD only) and some major centres. Note: East Maitland is outside the network, so add at least another another day to the Express delivery guarantee. Outside metropolitan areas guaranteed service is to and from townships only.

    Ten Zone Archery will not be held responsible for items lost by Australia Post, but we will do our best to help you find missing packages. When we pack your items we will provide you with the tracking number for your parcel. We have not experienced a single lost parcel while using the Signature on Delivery service.

    3. International Satchel (to New Zealand).

    Standard or express delivery with a tracking number. Note that for goods imported by parcels post, the total Customs value threshold is NZ$399. Please check with your local authority regarding any Customs tariff duty or GST payable on imported goods.

    Please note the shipping cost to New Zealand does not include GST. 


    Fastway offer a nationwide delivery service with up to $1500 coverage*, no re-delivery fees, door-to-door tracking and online proof of delivery. You must provide a street address (no post office box deliveries) and a contact phone number.

    Ten Zone Archery will not be held responsible for items lost by Fastway Couriers, but we will do our best to help you find missing packages. When we pack your items we will provide you with the tracking number for your parcel.

    *Warranty claims for loss or damage are subject to Fastway terms and conditions.

    Collect from Store

    Free pickup of your order is available if you live close our East Maitland store, Tuesday to Saturday during shop hours (please check our current opening times on our Contact Us page).

    If you wish to arrange your own courier to pick up your order, please enter a note in the Special Instructions field in Your Cart (BEFORE Checkout), and choose the ‘Collect from Store’ shipping method in Checkout.

    It’s also a good idea to call us during shop hours regarding the pickup arrangements for your order. You can also send us an email. Please get in touch using the details provided on the Contact Us page of our site.

    Please allow one business day for us to prepare your order for pickup. Payment must be confirmed online before pickup can occur.
